We're home. And knackered. The plane got onto the stand at Heathrow at 5pm, and we finally walked through our door at about 8:10.

Mammals: 3 Daubenton's Bat, 4 Pipistrelle

Yes, I went on a bat walk in Russia Dock Woodland tonight. No photos, I'm afraid.

We just got back from seeing Antony Gormley's Blind Light exhibition at the Hayward Gallery. Lots of photos, mostly of statues on the London skyline, are here.

Apparently, if you are concerned about global warming, you should drive instead of walking wherever possible. Your fuel (food) produces more greenhouse gases in its production and use than your car's fuel (especially if you eat a lot of beef and dairy produce).

Reptiles: 2 Smooth Softshell Turtle. It appears that there are at least two different species of released chelonian in Canada Water, as this one is a smooth softshell turtle and not a red-eared terrapin.
