Having recently been browbeaten persuaded by flickgc and at least one fishlifter, I have actually got round to joining They Came And Shaved Us and booking a hotel room. (Six more memberships left for anyone who is similarly dilatory).

I'd now like someone to reassure me that I won't actually be the oldest person at the convention. I'm too young to be an old fogey. At least, I had better be too young to be an old fogey.

I will, of course, be carefully assessing the convention's narrative momentum.

Of the people listed on the website as attending who I know, at least six are a bit older than you. Not all of them are actually going, but you won't quite be the oldest person there.

So remind us again, how old are you?
