Another Year, Another Pub

As reported elsewhere, the Barley Mow had problems again last night. We didn't have the upstairs room, apparently because last time too many people were coming downstairs to buy the real ales that weren't on upstairs. And they thought there'd be room, but it was pretty crowded and noisy. So there's a new poll on PNN (look in the bottom left corner) asking that perennial question: Where should we go now?

Remember: it has to be a large empty pub in Central London close to the underground with good cheap food and excellent beer. Wonder why we can never find one...?

Best bet, ISTM, is Penderel's Oak, already used by ZZ9 and the London PerlMongers and formerly used by Skeptics in the Pub.

That pub does tend to be fairly heaving earlier on though. Early arrivals will be lucky to find seats going spare.
