More photos from the new camera
In a controversial new development, a couple of these don't have any birds in them.

Nice. I particularly like the tyre with the patterned sand. Of course I immediately see it sullied by a title and used for a cover!

I like the tyre one too! It makes me think of meringue.

I do like the first two photos but then it's hard to go wrong with a sunset/sunrise. First light over the Docklands looks like it should be the cover of a book by China MiƩville by the way.
You might also be interested to know that the photo of the patterned sand made me shiver because the first thing which came to my mind was how rough the water would need to be to draw such patterns. Not a place I'd want to be at high tide.

It's not that rough -- I think it's more the intersection of water flowing downstream, the tide flowing upstream and the wakes from all the boats.

Being somebody who has a fear of deep and/or rough water I tend to assume the worst in such situations.

Good metering system on that camera.

It's not bad, but I took at least a dozen versions of each of the first three photos, and of course there's some digital post-processing.
