It appears that I'm not going to be getting an iPhone in the near future. I could live with the lack of 3G, MMS, voice dialling, memory card support and GPS, but its Bluetooth is crippled and doesn't support dial-up networking for other Bluetooth devices, which means my Tomtom wouldn't be able to receive traffic updates. It looks like a Nokia N95 and/or N810 for me.

The lack of bluetooth DUN seems to be a problem for other devices too - The WM baseded ones included - I've had 3 different HTC models which I have loved except for the lack of Bluetooth dialup networking support - again for TomTom ..

So i'm back using a standalone PDA and an N95 on T Mobile Web and Walk plus(Which is a good phone).

Yes- I've realised this is a deal-breaker for me too. I hope this gets sorted for the 3G version, by which I'll be able to shift contract.

The HTC Universal I had a while back could give dialup support, but there was a kludge involved. There may be instructions for your devices on the net somewhere.

So should I keep my Nokia 95 and get an iPOd touch to have the non phone functionality? that's my current issue..

No, because the iPod Touch doesn't have Bluetooth at all, and so it can't connect to the Internet via the N95, but only when you're in range of a wifi connection. Also it doesn't have the calendar, email, etc. functionality of the iPhone.

Yes, I have an N800 right now, but I fancy the keyboard and GPS.
