Support Digital Rights

There's a new pledge on PledgeBank for people to sign up to pay £5 per month to set up a UK digital rights organisation. If they get 1,000 pledges, then it will happen. 31 so far, including me, but it was only created yesterday.

I was at that presentation and a rep from Creative Commons and from EFF (and others) were present. A number of times the attendees were asked (raise of hands thing) what they thought was needed, and then how money should be raised on this side of the Atlantic given past experience.

This was the result and the pledge was set up from the meeting!
