Any organisation providing a "walk-in" service to the public and receiving any public funding must be open for at least twelve hours per week, or half its total opening hours (whichever is less) that are not between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday. This does not apply where the service is aimed at people who are unlikely to have full-time jobs, e.g. Job Centres and OAP centres. It does apply to doctors, dentists, libraries, post offices, local government offices, passport offices, police stations, museums, art galleries, etc.
