Can anyone recommend a decent domain name registrar for .co.uk domains. I mostly use register.com, but while they'll take registrations of new .co.uk domains, they won't take transfers, and I have a bunch of (work-related) domains I want to transfer and consolidate with one registrar.

We use OpenSRS -- they're very good.

...although users can't deal directly with OpenSRS, you have to go through a reseller. We use Bogons.

Black Cat Networks - http://www.blackcatnetworks.co.uk

They are an OpenSRS registrar and very, very helpful.

Email: sales@blackcatnetworks.co.uk

I use them for all my domains, including ones for clients.

I've found GoDaddy.com excellent. I've never had any reason to own a .co.uk domain, but I think they do them. They're cheap, offer excellent service, always respond quickly to queries, and even refunded me when a domain transfer failed through no fault of theirs.
