For the first time since the 1930s, the UK government represents more than 50% of the voters.

Yeah, and people who don't vote have abstained, by definition, and literally don't count.

(I've never missed an election since becoming eligible to vote. I don't always win, and indeed many times I know my side is going to lose, but I always have an opinion.)

But technically it does not, since as far as I can see the vast amount of supporters of both party are not sure they really voted for the coalition.
