If you bought an iPhone 3G when they were first launched in the UK, your contract is up and it's now time to call O2 on 2302 and get them to move you to a cheaper contract.
Hmm. What cheaper contract options with unlimited bandwidth are available on O2?
(I'm locked in until May, anyway, and El Reg is spreading rumours about the iPhone 4G or whatever it's going to be called surfacing in April, so it's of academic interest at this point ...)
They have a new "iPhone Simplicity 20" contract that's like the £35 a month one except that it costs £20 per month and there's no lock-in -- you can cancel at any time on 30 days' notice.
I have done this now; perfect for me as, wonder of wonders, you get to keep Visual Voicemail. Oddly, despite all their claims that the best tariffs are available online, this tariff is not available on the website.
