So, do we think it significant that Jack was buried at (to within the limits of available evidence) the exact same time as the crucifixion was happening, two thousand miles away?

I still want to know what happened while he was underground. Did he stay 'dead' the whole period, or come alive every x hours/weeks/months/years and then die from asphyxiation minutes later each time? And why didn't his clothes fall apart / rot by the time early Torchwood found him?
