Just saw a busker at Bond Street Tube station, playing that well known and delicate musical instrument, the traffic cone. A big red-and-white one, which he was using as a megaphone to amplify his tuneless singing of Christmas carols, with most of the words replaced by "dum-de-dum" because he didn't know them.

He didn't seem to be making much money, for some reason.

Did he look very scruffy, and perhaps homeless? I ask because it sounds very much as though he was the same "busker" as the one I saw on Monday evening at Holborn. If so, do we deduce that he may be working his way along the Central Line?

Next time, remind him that a "Traffic cone Megaphone can easily be inverted and inserted to make a handy "Arse Trumpet".
He's obviously not far along the Central line yet- seems like two stops short of Barking would be more apprporiate.

Seems to be going the wrong way. Needs to turn around, and change at Mile End...

Traffic cones make a much better sound if you use a brass instrument technique. Brass fire engine attachments work even better...
