Out and About in London
Dec. 16th, 2003 09:16 amWent to Tate Modern yesterday with
braxa. I was expecting to see the weather display, but managed to keep it as a surprise for
braxa.

What I wasn't expecting was a mass of sunbathers, especially as the "sun" doesn't actually give out any perceptible warmth.

Then on to the Lord of the Rings exhibition at the Science Museum, from which no photos since they prohibit it very sternly, although they weren't actually confiscating mobile phones and handbags as threatened. It's an interesting exhibit, but it's not terribly large -- £12 per person for about 35 minutes seems rather expensive. We'd have taken longer if we'd stopped to watch the explanatory videos, but there were crowds around them, and I expect they're mostly on the DVDs as extras.
